What is Team Building?

Alongside rising pressures in the workplace, scientific research shows that the ability to effectively manage interpersonal relationships has become the driving force behind the most successful companies.

Our Team Building activities are directly aimed at improving and strengthening respect, solidarity and cohesion within a group.

Combined with Team Coaching, Team Building is an effective and sustainable lever to support the development of employees. It also raises awareness on the shared responsibility within a team for their overall performance and well-being.

We have a wide range of ideas for activities and sites in Senegal to design unforgettable Team Building experiences for our participants, combining fun activities and exploration - of oneself, the other and of different tourist sites.

The length of Team Building activities varies according to the needs of our clients: a few hours, a day or several days. Our clients often use their 'Retreat' or 'Seminar' budget to invest in our services.

Our methodology includes surveys, role-playing, educational moments as well as moments for self-reflection and dialogue:

Artistic activities: painting, sculpture, drawing, theatre, dance;
Musical activities: sabar and djembe lessons, traditional Senegalese rituals;
Sports and relaxation activities: Qi gong, meditation, yoga, tree climbing;
Sub-group and plenary activities: roles and responsibilities within the team, vision and mission statements, clarification of behavioural norms, concrete initiatives for improving collaboration.

Team Building days are always custom-made and usually revolve around one or more of the following themes.

All our facilitators are certified and supervised. Most of them are bilingual in French and English; many are also fluent in Wolof. A first step involves a series of discussions with a client to refine our understanding of their context, their objectives and to co-create an agenda for the Team Building event.

Our approach to Team Building is participatory, during which we fully engage our participants, involving the organisation's management in the opening and closing sessions, if requested.

A Team Building event is generally followed by a debrief meeting with the client, including a report on the activities delivered, a summary of participant evaluations, as well as our recommendations. The average score from our Team Building participants is 8.7 out of 10. Sharing feedback between colleagues and identifying steps to implement was rated as a favorite activity.
