Key issues may include :

Rapid scaling of an organisation to meet new challenges or grow rapidly. Since 2017 we have been supporting a pan-African Fintech that raised $15 million and saw its workforce grow from 15 to 150 employees. We also helped a call centre to absorb the growth of its workforce from 100 to 1,200 employees, in particular through training and team coaching.
Strategic re-alignment, particularly related to the re-alignment with an organisation's global headquarters. One of our clients was able to adapt its national strategic plan to the new strategic direction of its global headquarters in just two months, whilst ensuring the upstream mobilisation of local stakeholders.
Improvement of an organisation's management culture to strengthen employee commitment. A majority of managers centralise their power whilst complaining about the lack of initiative and responsibility shown by individual team members. Training a few supervisors to change the management culture of the whole organisation is not enough. Instead, a systemic approach must be deployed. We have carried out numerous projects of this type, notably with a leading organisation in the insurance industry.
Changes in governance: for example, the setting up of joint ventures. We have a range of experience including support for the convergence between teams of two major international groups that had jointly won a large international tender.

Digitalisation or implementation of new I.S. (ERP): Banks, in particular, are faced with increased competition through the emergence of new players (fintech, mobile operators) and must rapidly adapt their offers to new channels and target markets. As an example, a major Senegalese bank asked us to assist them in the launch of their digital subsidiary, particularly in the convergence process with their strategic partner.

What is Change Management?

Change Management is a set of actions that enables an organisation to achieve its objectives and/or adapt to its growth and the evolution of its environment.

How best to accompany employees during a period of organisational change?

There are many ways to provide support to employees during a Change Management process, including:

Surveys to gather employee opinions and proposals;
Strategic workshops to inform employees of the planned objectives and to offer them responsibilities to develop actions plans;
Training on key skills required to support the implementation of a proposed change: very often, a change in behaviour is required at the organisational level, including at the level of the management team;
Team coaching, starting with the management team. Change processes challenge the balance in teams. It is more effective to put everything on the table before implementing a change, rather than to let misunderstandings develop, which may create frustration and interpersonal tensions;
Individual coaching: Those most affected by change often need space to reflect and step back in order to be better able to manage the process and find constructive ways of dealing with the proposed changes.

Communication for change: Using communication materials such as posters, wallpapers, mouse pads and a dedicated intranet web page is important for keeping teams updated on all Change Management processes and steps.
