Mary Teuw Niane, former Minister of Higher Education, was instrumental in prioritizing, creating and securing funding for the Senegalese Government's Mastercard Foundation in collaboration with Force N to enable young people to acquire the skills they need to succeed: 

“Young people need to open up and have courage...'School offers young people a lot of knowledge, but little soft skills and know-how... young people should not be discouraged, but rather understand that they need to drink in the development of their soft skills, such as leadership ....”
