Through this survey, available here, we aimed to capture the perceptions of men and women regarding gender practices in Senegalese companies. To achieve this, we interviewed over 100 representative companies from various sectors between October and November 2017..
While the results indicate a positive awareness of the importance of gender equality within companies, certain factors such as working conditions and career advancement for women could further improve practices.
There is also a strong desire for sharing skills and experiences within Senegalese companies, as over 90% of respondents expressed their readiness to support others as coaches or mentors.
A rich pool of mentors is therefore waiting to be activated, contributing to a stronger involvement of women in the growth of Senegalese businesses.
