Humans are medicine for one another

"Niit moy garabou niit"

Humans are medicine for one another.

Senegalese proverb

Dear Beautiful Soul Community,

Have you ever faced the complexities that arise when managing people? I certainly have. Twice, I was on the verge of giving up on Beautiful Soul, exhausted by these challenges. Yet, each time, it was the people around me who reignited my passion and purpose. Their autonomy, emotional intelligence, initiative, and resilience were crucial in these moments. Incidentally, they were all under 30, proving that value is not measured in terms of years of experience.

Investing in soft skills

Our journey with Force N began when we were invited to contribute to the program proposal 5 years ago to boost the employability and entrepreneurship opportunities for young people. Back in 2014, we worked with the program sponsor, Mary Teuw, the then Minister of Higher Education, to accelerate the launch of several universities in the country. He witnessed firsthand how our approach to strengthening soft skills and collaboration worked wonders. We have devoted considerable effort over the past few years to the Force N project, driven by our belief in the transformative power of soft skills. These skills are essential for fostering better collaboration, reducing time spent on management, and boosting organizational performance. Our investment in Force N is first and foremost out of empathy. It's also a cry from the heart to every organizational leader. So, without hesitation, let us invest in the soft skills of our young (and not so young! ) people.

"Beautiful Soul team"

Our comprehensive program

The softs skills development program proposed by Beautiful Soul and developed for Force N Senegal is a hybrid program including:

  • Kick-off: we begin with an intensive team-work day to set the foundation.
Sustained Support: This is followed by 3 months of group coaching and daily practice online, ensuring continuous learning and application.
  • Interactive Learning: Daily activities, reflection exercises, and group discussions promote deep understanding and skill integration.
  • Constant Guidance: Tutors are available daily on WhatsApp to provide real-time interaction and support.
  • Ongoing Improvement: Weekly skill integration tests and additional resources help reinforce learning.

Concrete results

And it works! The clients we have coached to develop the above skills are more efficient at managing their time, improving their team collaboration and boosting their organization's collective performance, and motivate us as much as we motivate them.

This newsletter will showcase the impact of our program with Force N to boost young people’s soft skills. You will find inspiring stories and practical insights that demonstrate the transformative power of soft skills in action as you can see from some of the testimonials from some of our participants…

“This Bootcamp helped to reinforce my confidence in myself…so often people in our society discourage you saying you will never achieve anything with what you have studied. I now feel more self-assured about standing up for myself, without this self-confidence you will never be able to succeed.”

“Beautiful Soul truly is a beautiful soul….today you offered us a mirror which has allowed us to discover and reveal our true potential. Thank you!”

“Whilst I often take initiative and have ideas, I just lose my words if I try to speak in public. Today I spoke in front of 100 people at the soft skills Bootcamp. My voice was wobbling but I let my thoughts and words flow freely…afterwards I felt SO liberated, I hadn’t felt I could speak out and take the floor and today I discovered my capacity to do so !”

Why This Matters

Investing in soft skills is not just about improving performance; it is about nurturing the human side of our organizations. These skills enable individuals to navigate challenges, embrace change, and drive collective success.
